Algebra is the branch of mathematics that use numbers and symbols to describe rules and relationships in the shortest way possible.

Usually , these rules are written as formulae.

In a formula, the letters of the alphabet that we use to represent a number are called pronumerals.

We hardly use multiplication or division sign in algebra.
